During the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps applications in Russia showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their trends, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Yandex Maps and Navigator saw a consistent pattern in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $3.1K at both the beginning and end of the quarter. Downloads started strong at around 319K in late June but experienced a gradual decline, hitting roughly 210K by the end of September. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at 12.3M and ending slightly lower at 13.2M.

Yandex Navigator experienced a notable peak in weekly revenue, reaching around $12K in the final week of September. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend from approximately 179K at the end of June to about 119K by the end of September. Active users started at 3.6M, rose to a high of 3.9M in early August, and then declined to 3.5M by the end of the quarter.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation did not generate any revenue during this period. However, downloads varied, with a peak at about 97K in late July and a decline to around 46K by the end of September. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 5.6M and ending at 5.4M.
